Mitten Holly Resources North StarFINDING YOUR OWN NORTH STAR: claiming the life you were meant to live by Martha Beck

Not only is this one of the most valuable maps for how to navigate the life discovery process, it also gives a good view of the overall course of life change.  Since I did my coach training with Martha, I like to use many of the tools she talks about.  There is also a Journal companion to the book, which is especially useful if you are doing this work on your own.

Mitten Holly Resources MeditationMEDITATION FOR THE LOVE OF IT: enjoying your own deepest experience by Sally Kempton

Having some quiet reflective time is essential for allowing our own wisdom to emerge.  I love this book for it’s broad range – discussing issues relevant to the beginner as well as the long-time practitioner.

BROKEN OPEN: how difficult times can help us grow by Elizabeth Lesser

That positive life change can occur through some of our most difficult times is indisputable. What this author offers is a look at the journey – and how to arrive, scars and all, to a place of wisdom and openness.  Her narrative of a traveler who is given the card of a psychic, which reads: ‘The Mouthpiece of Spirit Location – the Road of Truth’ is at once entrancing and hilarious. She takes us to the mirror of our soul – and quietly leaves us there to ponder our reflection.
